We aim to answer corrections within two business days. If a figure is wrong, include the page URL and the source that shows the correct value.
What we can help with
- A number on the site that does not match an SSA or IRS publication.
- A calculation that produces a result you cannot reproduce.
- A viral claim you want checked against a primary source.
- Press or research use of the data tables.
What we cannot help with
- Accessing your earnings record or benefit statement — only SSA can do that, through your my Social Security account.
- Individual tax, legal or benefits advice.
- Anything that requires your Social Security number. We will never ask for it, and you should not send it.
Beware of impersonation. This site has no phone number, no chat support, and no fee-based service.
